Shopkeeping

I recently spent a little time in my petit space at the Antique Mall and thought I would share a few photos. A local shop went out of business last week and I was fortunate enough to purchase some really wonderful things from Sara before she closed on Saturday. For many years she had a few shops in Old Town Orange and recently re-located to Lake Forest but due to health reasons needed to close up her shop rather quickly. I feel really fortunate to have met her wish her well! Perhaps she will put up shop again. This is a really cute shabby yellow metal cabinet with a crackle finish $85.
Here is a peak at my jewlery case....

Lot's of vintage linens, vintage picnic baskets and hats.

The doll chair is adorable!

I can't get enough of vintage aprons!
I hope you enjoyed the quick little tour!

My Talented Girlfriend from Texas

This amazing friend of mine, Leanne, from Austin, TX has such incredible style! Her home is truly amazing and she has such an eye for detail. We had such a blast at Roundtop last October and I'm hoping to get down there again to see her this year to do it all again!
She has been creating these amazing wreaths and sells them in a local shop Cowgirls and Lace in Dripping Springs, TX and on her website www.dazzlingmelange.com.
"One-of-a-Kind Art Celebrating the Joys of Life" best describes these works of art.

Happy Anniversary!

Wow21 years and still going strong - ok we have our up's and down's but who doesn't! I'd marry him all over again. Yesterday we marked our 21st wedding anniversary - YEAH for us! We had a nice evening out for dinner and then over to the House of Blues to see Ingrid Michaelson! She was awesome and my hubby liked her too. Very talented song writer and performer and what a sense of humor - it was a very fun night! Hoping that we have 21 years ++ more together!

Second Annual Wine Tasting Fundraiser

On Saturday, May 31 we hosted our Second Annual Wine Tasting Fundraiser for the American Cancer Society. In Mission Viejo we participate annually in the Relay for Life and along with my hubby and my BFF's we throw quite a party! This year we had twice as many guests attend - 75 and also had a wonderful band play! We had an abundance of really fabulous wines donated by many good friends; Schug, Guilliams, Silverado, Buena Vista, Flora Springs, Signorello, Rodney Strong, Berringer, Ocho and many more. Our friends from Coppola also donated some really fabulous silent auction baskets. We prepped food all morning and set up the yard - it looked really awesome and we did not want the night to end! We raised $2,700. for our cause in memory of our dearest BFF Judy - we lost her a few years ago to melanoma and since then have relayed in her memory. Her mom and dad were at the event again this year as well as her husband Fritz. Cheers!
The hosts! Jeff, Erin, Dar, Jill & Debra

A few of our silent auction items; signed bottles and baskets!

The "line-up" of wines was amazing! No spit bucket - there would be no spitting tonight!

Standing at attention and ready for pouring.

Don't you just love my canopy! It was made for me by this talented lady!

Our check-in table; raffle tickets were given out and guests guessed how many corks were in the wine bucket - there were a 119!

Our desserts were yummy! Cupcakes, brownies and delectible little petit fours!

Coronado Drive Bys

We spent last weekend in Coronado stay at this wonderful historic hotel! My sister and her family were visiting so the boys and I headed South to Coronado Island and enjoyed a fiew days at this beautiful resort. The weather however did not cooperate but it did not dampen our fun too much - ok except for the surry cycle ride! What started out as a fun ride around the island on a surry built for 6 ended in a down pour with two little one's strapped to the front literally hysterical by the time we were able to make it back. Nothing that a warm bath and a trip to the candy shop could not fix! We collected sand dollars and assorted "baby shells" on the beach. The kids rock climbed and we shopped for beach cottages!
Enjoy the Coronado Island drive by's - taken from the surry cycle speeding past.
