Saturday Finds!

Today I slept in a bit and headed out for some Saturday morning treasure hunting and WOW what a morning! I stopped at a fabulous sale that Ginny (a fellow dealer from another Antiques mall) was having. I ended up spending about $30. and came home with a vintage table crumber, glass cloche, fabulou apothocary jar, 4 kidnes shaped dishes, a vintage bike basked (I'll share later what I did with that), 2 shabby chic bird candle holders, some ephemera, and an iron display piece. One quick stop on the way home yielded a bird cage, oversize fork and spoon (tags still on) and the cute bangle with different "E" fonts! "E" for Erin or Eccentric! I have to decide what I'm keeping and what s going to the shop tomorrow. Have a wonderful weekend!

Wednesday

Thrifting!

The Peddlers Market was a success and so much fun! Linda and I set up our booth on Friday and then arrived Saturday morning to sell, shop, shop, shop, eat delicious apple pie, chicken salad sandwiches, sell and shop a little more! It was a great day and we met so many nice people out shopping on a gorgeous day in So. Cal. I ran into some dealer friends and our hubby's came by for a visit and some pie - we sent them each home with whole pies for later - did I mention that they had the best pie??! I bought some really nice vintage tablecloths (post pics later) and a cute little French print. The following day I took my youngest son thrifting - it was his request. It seems one of his cross country coaches shops for his clothes at a thrift store. Well I found the sweet Nashco signed tray - it's going with me to Minnesota in a few weeks for my sister it was a steal at $1.99. The vase is for me - it's the beautiful cream colored pottery that I collect and a bargain at $2.99! You might remember the mishap last year with our kitten and the vase that I adored very similar to this one.

I have also received my shipment of Romantic Homes Magazine. If you would like a copy please email me - it will be mailed to you quickly for the cost of $5.00 per issue including shipping. This is for the September issue!

Have a wonderful week - please stay tuned for my first give-away! I'm still putting goodies together for this one.

Sunday

The Backyard Boutique was a SUCCESS!!

Yesterday was a success and so much fun despite the soaring temps! I was so thrilled to see Pam "the Canopy Lady". She drove al the way up from San Diego and shopped like crazy. I wish she and I lived closed - she has such great energy and I am so excited about her possible move to the East Coast to make all her dreams come true! A few of my neighbors came by that I had never met and totally made my day. One of them said "I just had to meet the person that owns this house. I walk or drive by ever day and it's just so cute what you have done." She also told me that she looks forward to our dancing ghosts in the front yard every October. The "Furniture Queen" snapped up the creamy chenille chair , the 2 high back white porch chairs SOLD, shabby chic plant holders, mirrors, chair planters all SOLD, silver coffee pots SOLD. It was a great time to see all these treasures going to wonderful new homes!

Just a glimpse of what was for sale...

The cute little porcelein heart and spade found a new home!

The jewels had many fans and the pedestals went flying out the garden gate - little glimpse of the red one in the photo. I only brought one out that was cream colored and when my friend saw it she was so excited and the all the ladies in the yard wanted one - well I happened to have more not yet unpacked and broke them out - glad they have new homes!

The "Laundry" sign went home to add a smile to someone's laundry room
and the vintage linens were a hit!
One of the pedestals in cream....

I'm planning to hold another sale the first weekend in October!
Until then the hubby and I have tickets to see John Mayer tonight! 6th row center - I love him! Enjoy the rest or your weekend!
